Alex and Katie

Great Fosters

07/10/2011

Okay, after recently having been told off for making my posts about weddings far too gushy and sycophantic, I am going to try to tell you about Alex and Katie’s wedding without using the superlatives. (Alex, Katie, this is not because I didn’t completely love your wedding, it’s just that I want to sound genuine, and my friend – you know who you are – says I don’t!)

Alex and Katie’s day started off at the church, in pretty gloomy (but not quite raining…) weather. Alex arrived looking quite calm, delegating tasks out to his groomsmen and then hit the pub. Katie and her bridesmaids arrived looking average. (That is clearly untrue, look at the film for pete’s sake…) and a lovely ceremony unfolded. Everyone left to some exemplary bell ringing by one of Alex’s ushers (who was also the photographer’s brother – Helen was great to work with – here is her version of events!!) After a few portraits at the church, we all sped off to Great Fosters in Egham. The rest of the day went without a hitch, we shot guest interviews, a dancefloor being rocked by an 6 piece band, and also people getting their pics done in a Black Taxi Photobooth! Sorry, I can’t resist, BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!!

Hey Dan, what a fabulous, amazing vidio clip, you captured the day and condensed it down to a couple of mins, but still managed to tell the story! The actual vidio is truely beautiful and we will treasure it forever.
